I have been discussing the exciting business opportunities available on the Internet with a close friend of mine recently, specifically internet marketing and affiliate marketing opportunities. If you put to one side for a moment all the small time schemes which are portrayed as money making opportunities and focus on internet marketing either as an affiliate of promoting your own product, then the opportunities are real.

A new system was brought to my attention recently which got me really excited and it came from a guy who started off with around 43,000 of personal debt and has gone on to become a millionaire in a very short space of time. When I was enlightening my friend about this system and also explaining how internet marketing works he remarked with a tone of authority; basically they get richer by asking you (and others) to sell on their behalf and you get paid a commission.

In summary, this is a fairly accurate analysis of affiliate marketing from a person who has not even heard of this type of opportunity less than five minutes ago. The tone in which that summary was spoken led me to believe my friend did not approve of such money making schemes. A while later, relaxing with a cup of tea and a biscuit it occurred to me that there is absolutely no difference between affiliate marketing and holding down a regular job. Apart from the technicalities of accounting an employee " someone working for someone else - is paid an amount of money taken from the profits. Normally the business owner(s) take the largest cut of the profit. It is about seeing past the conventional and changing your mindset and embracing change. The negative mindset shown by my friend probably originates from the bad press Multi-level Marketing courted some years ago. If I mention the phrase pyramid selling youd probably cringe. Yet despite all the negativity surrounding such schemes people are making money from these systems. Your success could depend entirely on how you approach these opportunities mentally. Change your mindset and you could be the next internet marketing millionaire. Maybe it is fear of change, or fear of the unknown which causes such a reaction amongst most people, or perhaps it is a deep rooted fear of failure.

I can only imagine what it must be like to be a real millionaire: To not have to worry about debt and to be able to enjoy the time we are given on this earth. I have changed my mindset and have grasped the opportunity internet marketing can provide but I didnt think it was going to be easy and indeed it hasnt proved me wrong yet.
